Ziggy Document is a proper superset of JSON now!
I have finally fully designed how numeric and bytes literals should look like and fully
implemented parsing for them.
Here you can find cool railroad diagrams for all of Ziggy Document syntax: https://ziggy-lang.io/docs/diagrams/
Numeric literals
Ziggy supports JSON style numeric literals, plus nan and inf for floats and
0b0110, 0o777, 0x00ffcc (binary, octal and hex integer literals).
We also support underscores in numeric literals, like Zig does: 10_000_000, 0b0000_1111_0101, etc.
Bytes (strings)
Ziggy supports all JSON escapes plus \xNN escapes from Zig, which can
be used to add non-unicode bytes to a bytes literal (which is why we don't call them strings).
Changes
- We added a test suite that helps ensure JSON compatibility.
- Fixed an issue where LSP diagnostics don't work with strict LSP clients that don't want markdown diagnostic messages.
- Minor bugfixes.
