The first public release of Tandem: a design canvas you host on your own machine. Your AI agents design on it and you stay in charge.

Highlights

  • For agents (MCP at /mcp):
    • Build whole screens with frames and auto-layout.
    • screenshot lets an agent check its own work, with a share link for your chat.
    • Export to HTML/CSS or SVG.
    • Comments, history and restore.
  • For you: a live web editor and an installable web app (Safari: File → Add to Dock; iPhone: Add to Home Screen).
    • Agent edits land live, outlined in amber with the agent's name.
    • Edit by hand, review with comments, and step back through revisions.
  • Connect any agent:
    • tandem connect claude | codex | opencode.
    • Any MCP client that speaks streamable HTTP.
    • OAuth connectors for claude.ai, ChatGPT and Cursor.
  • Self-hosting:
    • One small Node.js server. Designs are files on your disk, with every revision kept.
    • Optional always-on setup with launchd and a Cloudflare Tunnel.
    • Optional Google sign-in through Neon Auth, with an email allowlist.

Needs Node.js 20+ and pnpm. See the README for the Mac app, connecting agents and putting it online.
