Whisper weights are not in the installer. The app downloads them from the Models tab: Hugging Face first, GitHub Release models-v1 (buzzmini-model-<id>.zip) if the Hugging Face download fails.

Changes

• GitHub mirror for models when Hugging Face is unreachable
• Download progress: percent on the bar only; caption shows speed, ETA, and MB
• Fixed frozen-build crash after a successful Hugging Face download
• Download errors stay in the Models dialog instead of killing the process
• Confirm removal: “Remove … from disk?”

Install (Windows)

1. BuzzMini-Setup-1.0.1.exe — small installer; downloads the app bundle from this release during setup (~4+ GB after extract).
2. Or download BuzzMini-1.0.1-win64.7z and extract manually.

GPU: NVIDIA + driver required for GPU transcription. AMD / Intel GPUs run on CPU only — use a smaller model (Small / Base) for speed.

Push-to-talk (PTT)

• Fixed chord handling on Windows: reliable left/right Ctrl + Space / Win via virtual-key codes.
• PTT model: hold Ctrl, press the second key to start recording (fewer false triggers).
• Hotkey listener restarts after sleep / lock screen so PTT keeps working.

GPU / CPU

• Detects AMD (and similar) GPUs via WMI; clear message that CUDA needs NVIDIA.
• Separate log warnings for CPU-only PyTorch vs CUDA build without a usable GPU.
• Settings shows transcription device status; tray notification on first run in CPU mode.

Первый отмеченный тег: рабочая версия для запуска из репозитория (без установщика / одного .exe).

Что есть

• Трей, запись по удержанию комбинации клавиш (PTT), настройка аккорда в Settings.
• Распознавание через faster-whisper / Whisper, выбор и загрузка моделей из трея (Models…).
• На Windows при установке через uv sync подтягивается CUDA-сборка PyTorch (см. pyproject.toml) — удобнее для GPU.
• Диалог Donate — Донат (ВТБ Paymo + QR), иконка трея из assets/tray.png, логотип в README.

Запуск

1. Скачать исходники в этом релизе или клонировать репозиторий, в корне выполнить uv sync (или установка по README через pip + отдельно PyTorch с CUDA на Windows).
2. Windows: после uv sync можно запускать двойным щелчком scripts/run-buzz-mini.bat — поднимется Python из .venv, без случайного запуска через системный интерпретатор (из‑за этого часто оказывается CPU вместо GPU).
3. Либо из терминала: .\.venv\Scripts\python.exe -m buzz_mini.app или buzz-mini при активированном venv.
