Repository navigation
Dossier 0.7.3 is the reader, redesigned. Pages read on neutral gray surfaces in both themes, color does three jobs and nothing decorative, every number lines up on one axis, and the theme follows your system until you choose. The example browser that shows all six kinds is now a page worth sending to someone, and the README shows the new interface throughout. Models from 0.7.0 on build unchanged.
Browse the live examples, one for every kind, at desktop, tablet, and phone widths.
Changes
- A quieter page. Light gray with white paper, or near-black with charcoal paper, from one stylesheet of
light-dark()pairs. The kind names the document in one color, on the badge, the kicker, the numbers, the active chapter, and timeline times. Tones name status and evidence, and a decision turns its number, its table row, and its dot in the rail the same color. Nothing carries a decorative stripe, and titles render in one typeface:meta.emphasisis accepted but no longer sets a word in italics. - Numbers on one axis. Sections and items share a number column, so numbers line up down the page. Items read as a list divided by hairlines, the open item lifts onto paper, and the hairlines, the hover fill, and the open card share one outer edge. Boards lead with their items, and a disclosure opens the comparison table, where the verdict select draws its own chevron.
- The rail. Sections first, a disclosure for the complete item index, then Your decisions: the running count, the document choice, a dot for every numbered decision that links to its item, Next undecided in verdict kinds, and Copy reply once something is decided. At compact widths it folds above the reading column as a Contents button and a decisions disclosure.
- Code in the theme's colors. Keywords in violet, strings in teal, numbers in amber, names in blue, comments muted, and diff lines on the teal and risk fills, in both themes.
- Theme follows the system. The switch has two states, light and dark, and the page follows the system preference until you pick one. Print uses the light palette, keeps your decisions, and restores the page afterward.
- The example browser. explore.html shows the six examples in tabs, with number keys to switch, desktop, tablet, and phone widths, a theme switch that reaches into the page, and a link to open the document on its own.
- Markdown keeps your dashes.
--and---stay as typed instead of becoming en and em dashes. - The README. Rewritten around the new interface, with a logo, a link to the live examples, and every image recaptured from this build. The capture toolkit gained the example browser and a deciding GIF that shows the decisions card, two gates, and Your reply.
