What is LabNex?

LabNex is an Android app designed for GitLab, enabling you to manage your projects effortlessly while on the go, ensuring productivity even when you're away from your desk.

Is it free and open-source?

Yes, the source code is available here. To support ongoing development, the Play Store version is paid, but you can download the app for free from F-Droid or as an APK.

Does LabNex support HTTP-only connections?

No, LabNex exclusively supports HTTPS connections to GitLab instances, ensuring secure communication and data transfer.

Does LabNex support self-signed certificates?

No, LabNex does not support self-signed certificates at this time. The overhead of managing them is costly and not worthwhile. If you believe this is essential for your workflow, feel free to reach out at hello@labnex.app to discuss a potential implementation as a paid service.

I want to try the latest build(APK) from main branch.

Sure, you can download the source code and compile it on your system. If that's not the case, you can request an APK.

What GitLab version I need?

For better app compatibility, we suggest to use/install GitLab 16.6 or above.

I want to help translate it to my language.

That's great to hear. We use Crowdin for translation.

I have problem using LabNex.

Please go through the issues (open and closed) and see if someone already had a similar issue like you and have a possible solution or workaround. If no one has opened an issue for it, please report it to debug the issue.

How can I support the app?

To support the app, you can purchase the Play Store version, become a Patron.

A general question: Is there a possibility of moving to GitLab at some point?

Maybe, but this hasn't been decided yet. We plan to stay on GitHub for now.
