Collection->mapInto() does not work as before

Not sure, but looks like after migrating from version 10.x to 11.x
Collection->mapInto() method is not working as before.
Now I get this error with stack tracing to here.

Here in example first line fails, second one - succeeds.

collect([105324996, 105276422])->mapInto(RandomClass::class)->all();
collect([105324996, 105276422])->map(fn($item) => new RandomClass($item))->all();

Here is an example of constructor of the class.

Steps To Reproduce

Not sure. Try to run the mapInto() on some collection of integers and use a custom class to map those values into.

I'm having trouble reproducing. What is the constructor of the parent class?

Hmm. Looks like for "basic" class this works. My class extends use Illuminate\Database\Eloquent\Model. Did this so I can use the relations, fillable and other things that eloquent model provides, but this class has no real db table connected.

Worked before upgrading on laravel 10.39.0.
I thought something might be related to the version changes in collections related code, but did not see anything big. The BackendEnums check, but by stacktrace, the code does not get there. Maybe eloquent related code has some changes, that break things, but then again the stack trace would show that and the ->map() would probably break.

We'll need more info and/or code to debug this further. Can you please create a repository with the command below, commit the code that reproduces the issue as one separate commit on the main/master branch and share the repository here?

Please make sure that you have the latest version of the Laravel installer in order to run this command. Please also make sure you have both Git & the GitHub CLI tool properly set up.

Do not amend and create a separate commit with your custom changes. After you've posted the repository, we'll try to reproduce the issue.

What you're doing makes more sense now but I'm not really sold on the design. I'll explain the error though since the stack trace is actually very unhelpful.

It's your parent::__construct(...) line that is causing the error. The reason this happens is because the HasEvents trait is then trying to initialize new static (via HasEvents::observe()) without any arguments which makes your type-hinted $userId argument not be found.

I'm not sure if this should be considered a bug but it appears to have been created in 6c9cbc9 when bootHasEvents was introduced. Prior to this (<v10.44.0), observe() was not called during Model construction.
