Model Event: "Updating" does not fire

Creating, Saving do fire but not updating.
This is an issue because you often need isolate whether the model was creating or updating. Saving covers both.

Only fires if "saving" model observer method is present.

I noticed that updating only fired if there was dirty data to be saved.

Change a field value, save and the updating event should fire.

If the model does not have a PK then it's creating.

@qazjayp can you tell us if your problem was solved? If not, can you give us an simple repository case example, so we can track down this "Updating" not firing event?

@Bodom78 is correct that it only fires if there was dirty data to be saved and does not appear to fire on the $model>update() method
