@lc66 lc66 released this 30 Oct 04:39
  • Signed and notarized by Apple. Meowdoro now opens with a double-click: drag it to Applications and open it, with no Terminal command and no read-me to follow first. macOS names its developer as HashEx US, LLC. If you already have Meowdoro, this version comes as a usual update in the island.

Install: open the DMG and drag Meowdoro to Applications.

  • A question you've read stops calling. When a session's turn ends on a question, it waits in orange and counts on the cat. Once you open that session in Claude Desktop, on this Mac or on a remote machine, or click its row in the island, the row stays, orange and with the question, but dims and no longer counts. It goes when you answer. A request for permission still counts until you answer it in the session.

Install: open the DMG, drag Meowdoro to Applications, then follow "Read me first" inside.

  • Fixed: answered sessions stuck waiting after a restart. In 0.1.20, catching up after a restart could bring back a question from an earlier turn in Claude Desktop on a remote machine, leaving a session yellow and waiting though you'd long answered it. Old questions and reads now stay in the past. A row already stuck goes with that session's next event, or right-click → Remove from List.

Install: open the DMG, drag Meowdoro to Applications, then follow "Read me first" inside.

  • Remote agents stay put after a restart. When Meowdoro starts, it catches up on the last half hour from your machines. That no longer makes the rows flicker through old states, flash sessions that were closed, or bring back finished sessions you'd already read as new.
  • Skipping a break shows your agents right away. Skip or ⏮ out of a break ends it for agents too. A break that runs out still lasts until you start the focus.
  • A ✓ beside the name fields, as on the cards: in the Last focus row and when you name the current focus. A click on it saves, like Return.

Install: open the DMG, drag Meowdoro to Applications, then follow "Read me first" inside.

  • Name a focus right after it. On the card when a focus ends, the pencil beside ▶ Break asks what you got done, and the answer goes into that focus's record in Statistics. On ▶ Focus after a break, it names the next focus. Skipped the card? Through the break, the open island shows your last focus with Name it.
  • Your agents are there in the morning. For agents, a break lasts until you start the next focus. It now also ends once the timer has stood still for 4 hours, overnight or during the day, so an evening break no longer hides them until your first Start.
  • New cats: asleep on its laptop beside the notch while the timer is paused, and floating cross-legged over a rug with a mug on the card before a break.

Install: open the DMG, drag Meowdoro to Applications, then follow "Read me first" inside.

  • Cards that wait for you. Settings → Keep the card until I click it: the card when a phase ends, and the ones when a focus pauses by itself or can go on, stay until you click them, while the overtime counts. With the next phase starting by itself they still tuck themselves away.
  • Who needs you shows on those cards, live: dots under the button, for agents that failed, wait or finished. Click them for the list.
  • A click on a phase card beside its button puts it away.
  • A paused timer is hard to miss. The island's wings turn graphite beside the black notch, the cat falls asleep on its laptop, and ▶ turns amber, until you resume. Nothing blinks.

Install: open the DMG, drag Meowdoro to Applications, then follow "Read me first" inside.

  • A welcome tour, right in the island. Where Meowdoro is new, the island opens a one-minute tour: where it lives, the timer played in seconds, your agents with a demo row and Connect for the ones on this Mac, the timer row's buttons, and your first focus. Already using Meowdoro? It won't open by itself: right-click the island → Welcome Tour…, or Settings → General.
  • Hints the first time something happens: what the amber overtime counts, that a waiting agent's line opens its session, and what a grey session needs.
  • Agent rows say when it's time for /compact. Past the threshold in Settings, the row says "Context 64% · time for /compact" in orange, on one-line and two-line rows alike.
  • The context ring's tooltip is back on one-line rows, and the minutes on each row say what they count: "Waiting for you for 6 min", "Finished 12 min ago".
  • About Meowdoro comes first in the right-click menu, with Welcome Tour… under it.

Install: open the DMG, drag Meowdoro to Applications, then follow "Read me first" inside.

  • Round dots add up. The dots now count toward the long break. Rounds you've done are filled. The current one is a ring while its focus runs and fills in during its break. The rest stay grey.
  • Overtime keeps the picture of the phase you're sitting over. Say a break runs out while the Mac sleeps and the focus waits for Start: the mug stays beside the notch while +3:12 counts, not the cat at its laptop. VoiceOver says the same. ▶ still starts the next phase.
  • A shorter right-click menu: Statistics and Settings, About and Check for Updates, Quit. Start Over from Round 1 and Show Agents During Focus are gone: ⏮ and the agents switch are one click away in the island.
  • Meowdoro never edits your agents' settings: its plugin is installed, updated and removed only with Claude Code's and Codex's own commands. Connect no longer cleans up hooks that test builds before 0.1.6 wrote into ~/.claude/settings.json or ~/.codex/hooks.json; if you ran one of those, delete the lines that call meowdoro-hook there, or each event shows up twice.

Install: open the DMG, drag Meowdoro to Applications, then follow "Read me first" inside.

  • A simpler card when a phase ends. The cat shows what happened. One wide button says what's next and for how long: "▶ Break 05:00", "▶ Resume 12:14". Under it there's a line only when there's something to say: your agents as colored dots with counts, or the sessions to /compact. The button stands in the same place on every card.
  • A tidier timer row. ⏮ ⏭ ↺ share one plate. Statistics and settings are grey icons that light up under the pointer. The row is shorter, so a named focus shows twice as much of its name.
  • Resume, not Start, wherever a paused focus goes on: the time carries on from where it stopped.
  • Settings, regrouped. How the notch looks has its own section, In the notch, and what the island shows of your agents is apart from connecting them. Every number sits on the right, beside its stepper; minutes no longer have a slider that repeated the stepper.
  • VoiceOver reads the island: the icon buttons, the mini cat (it says the phase), the time however it's drawn, the badge, and each agent row, with the status its dot shows only in color.
  • Sessions that send nothing are dimmed like read ones, so the agents that really wait stand out.
  • Statistics: the chart has a title, and breaks in the journal are quieter.
  • The icon sets are called Cat and Laptop & Mug instead of v1 and v2.
  • The island folds up as soon as its spring settles, not after a fixed delay.

Install: open the DMG, drag Meowdoro to Applications, then follow "Read me first" inside.

  • Sessions Claude Desktop starts without a project are called "scratch" in the island, not by their folder's long name ("scratch-2026-10-14-9a9a18").
  • A project name longer than 10 characters is cut short ("bot-short…"), so the session's name has room; the full one is in the tooltip.
  • On lines too long for the island, the machine's tag sits in the same place in every row.

Install: open the DMG, drag Meowdoro to Applications, then follow "Read me first" inside.
