@github-actions github-actions released this 24 Oct 18:48

NoteFetch downloads your Plaud recordings, transcripts and summaries to your Windows computer, so you can keep them, search them and send them on. It is built for screen reader users first, and works fully by keyboard.

This is the first release.

Download

  • notefetch.exe: the program itself. Nothing to install: put it in a folder of its own and run it.
  • notefetch.zip: the same, zipped, for when a browser or email will not pass an exe.

Windows SmartScreen may warn that the app is unrecognised, because it is not yet signed. Choose "More info", then "Run anyway". The README says more.

What it does

  • Signs in to your own Plaud account in your browser, through Plaud's official MCP server.
  • Downloads the audio (Ogg Opus), transcript and summary of each recording into a folder of its own, named after the recording and its date.
  • Syncs new recordings with Ctrl+S, renames, moves into folders, deletes to the Recycle Bin, and remembers recordings you do not want.
  • Speaks what it is doing through your screen reader, writes everything to a Log you can read back, and answers what you do with a small sound.
  • Press F1 for the guide, with tutorials.

Tested with

  • JAWS on Windows 11, through more than ten rounds of testing by its developer, who is blind.
  • NVDA 2026.2, in two rounds. Narrator speaks the announcements too.

NoteFetch is free, under the MIT licence. It is an independent program, not made, endorsed or supported by Plaud.
