v0.10.0
chore: upgrade dependencies and Go to 1.26 Bumps klauspost/compress to v1.20.3 (fixes CVE-2026-63209) along with client_golang 1.25.0 and other deps. CI now uses Go 1.26 to match go.mod. Documents running Go via the `go` toolbox in CLAUDE.md.
v0.9.0
feat: add since-last-backup metric to per-archive collection panels Mirrors the "Since last backup" column from the summary tables, placed before the existing "Last collection" stat in both the Borg and Restic per-repository rows.
v0.8.0
feat: move Archive duration panel to the far right Applies to both the Borg and Restic archive rows.
v0.7.0
style: realign README markdown tables Whitespace-only column realignment, no content change.
v0.6.0
feat: add restic support, rename to backup-exporter Adds a second collector for restic-backed repositories alongside borg, with full parity including per-snapshot history metrics (restic_*). Restructures the exporter around a tool-agnostic Collector interface, two independent collection schedulers (borg/restic), and a shared exporter_* metric family for collection-health/system-info that replaces the old borg_last_collect_*/borg_system_info metrics. Config moves from flags/BORG_REPOSITORIES to a YAML file listing repositories with a type discriminant, supporting restic's password/password_file/password_command auth conventions. This is a breaking change with no compat shim. Repo, Go module and binary renamed borg-exporter -> backup-exporter to reflect the multi-tool scope. Fixes a pre-existing bug surfaced while restructuring: repo.Opts was passed to exec.Command as a single argument instead of being split, so multi-flag borg opts (e.g. "--lock-wait 5") would have been sent to borg malformed. Closes #8
v0.5.0
refactor: rework Grafana dashboard around archive history The "last backup" and "repository size" timeseries graphs were mostly useless at the dashboard's default 6h window (at most 1-2 data points given the default 4h METRICS_REFRESH_INTERVAL). Replace them with: - An "Archive history" table and five single-metric bar charts (files, duration, original/compressed/deduplicated size) driven by the new borg_archive_* metrics from #7, one bar per archive so trends are visible regardless of the time window. - Truncated (10 char), 45deg-rotated x-axis labels on the bar charts, since archive names are long; full names remain in the tooltip. - "Last collection duration" converted from a timeseries to a stat panel, matching its "Last collection"/"Last collection error" siblings. - Dropped the now-redundant top "Last backup for $repository" age row (superseded by the Summary table's colored age column) and the repository-total size graphs. Also renames the "deduplicated size" columns/panels/metrics docs to "Unique Data Added": verified against borg's own semantics (and confirmed empirically against a live repo) that this stat is not "the backup's size after dedup" but the data exclusively owned by that one archive relative to the repository's *current* state - order-dependent, can read 0 for a large valid backup, and can shift for older archives as newer ones are created. Documented this caveat in the README next to the two affected metrics. The separate long-term-trend dashboard idea (using the existing prometheus-longterm datasource) is tracked in #9 instead.
