What's Changed
This update brings a few significant changes!
Breaking change
apy review -m [QUERY] now reviews only the notes with inconsistent Markdown that match QUERY. Without a query, -m checks all notes. The -n / --cmc-range option is gone. The old behaviour was broken: it selected the notes with consistent Markdown, and only among recently reviewed notes.
New features
- New command:
apy export-to-file FILE QUERYwrites the matching notes to a Markdown file. Edit it and apply the changes withapy update-from-file FILE(see #171 and the README). - New command:
apy fix-markdown QUERYfixes inconsistent Markdown notes, but only where re-rendering keeps the content (text, code, links and images). Use--dry-runto see what would change. - The zsh and fish completions are updated to match the current commands and options.
Fixes
I've fixed a few bugs in the Markdown conversion:
- backslashes inside math and code are no longer doubled
$inside inline code is no longer treated as math[latex]blocks are passed through untouched<in math no longer breaks the field
Notes that were added or edited with older versions of apy may now show up as inconsistent, and some of them, e.g. with \\ in math or code, may currently display incorrectly in Anki. To clean up, make a backup (apy backup), run apy fix-markdown 'deck:*' for the safe fixes, and use apy review -m for the rest.
