BOFT CLI adds native GitHub Copilot integration, safer in-turn steering for Claude Code, and Host-aware usage statistics. This release also improves Harness updates, session continuity, Desktop compatibility, and system branding.

  • Add a native GitHub Copilot CLI Harness with model and Thinking selection, tool approvals, session history, Fork, and Rollback
  • Steer a running Claude Code Turn at supported native tool boundaries, with stop-then-start fallback when native delivery is unavailable
  • Switch Grok permission modes in an idle session and confirm the applied native state
  • Check Harness versions across the Connections list, run installation and update tasks in the Host background, and batch-update supported Harnesses by Host
  • Select a local or connected remote Host in usage statistics and aggregate dates in the Desktop timezone (#555)
  • Show plugin-provided cache countdown indicators beside Composer permissions (#582)
  • Name delegated Threads from the parent and subtask titles (#569)

  • Use BOFT CLI system display names, enlarge application icons, and replace legacy Windows shortcuts while retaining the existing application identity, data paths, and boft command
  • Support the newer Desktop Host registry, native SSH connection services, and native language preferences (#579)
  • Keep the selected model across session resume and Fork, and remember the new-thread Agent only when submitting a new thread
  • Preserve Claude Code background continuation history and native project configuration, and read context-window information from native results
  • Preserve Pi autonomous Turn boundaries and changed-file history, and correct Fast model eligibility (#567, #575)
  • Check OMP availability without starting a session and avoid synthetic Turns for subagent notifications (#577)
  • Fix Cursor Fork handling and expose Auto's Optimize For choices as Thinking options (#573, #568)
  • Support WorkBuddy's lite CLI startup and readiness handshake, with application version checks and official update downloads
  • Avoid failing Antigravity Turns that repeat an earlier native error (#554)
  • Keep late Codex token counts and user prompts, stream large compressed rollouts, and handle long emoji-containing usage titles (#536, #558, #559)
  • Retry usage sources changed during reading and improve Linux Wayland input-method candidate borders

Installation

npm

npm install -g @liberseek/boft-cli@0.8.4
boft

For Copilot, install the standalone CLI on the target Host with npm install -g @github/copilot and ensure it is authenticated. BOFT CLI includes the Harness plugin, not the Copilot CLI.

Installer

Download the installer matching your OS and CPU architecture. Linux uses the npm package for x64 and arm64.

macOS Gatekeeper

The system display name is BOFT CLI; the installed bundle remains BOFT.app for update compatibility. If macOS shows "Apple cannot verify this app", run the following command in Terminal and reopen the application:

xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /Applications/BOFT.app
