Markdown files now read like documents in Work, and a dropped provider
connection no longer ends a Work run. This release also carries a round of
dependency security updates.

✨ New Features

  • Markdown viewer in Work: Markdown files in the workspace (.md and
.markdown) open rendered, with headings, lists, tables, code, math, and
diagrams drawn the same way as in chat. The Rendered toggle in the file
toolbar switches to the editable source and back, and that choice carries
over to the next Markdown file you open. The rendered view follows unsaved
edits. Files over 400,000 characters stay in the editor.

🔧 Improvements

  • Work runs survive a dropped connection: When a model provider cuts a
streaming response short (terminated, a reset connection) or answers 502,
503, 504, or 529, the Work agent replays that round after a short pause, up
to twice per run, instead of failing the task. The half-streamed text is
discarded, so the live view does not keep a fragment. Real errors, such as a
rejected API key, still fail at once.
  • Automation failures say why: A failed Work automation now records the
run's own error after its code, for example
work-task-failed: terminated, so the failure notification and email name
    the reason.

🐛 Bug Fixes

  • Dollar amounts in replies: Prices such as $80.7B and $72B in the same
paragraph no longer turn into a math formula. A dollar sign directly before
    a digit is read as money; \( … \), $x^2$, and $$ … $$ math still
    renders.
  • Replayed rounds kept after reconnecting: A Work round that is replayed,
after a dropped connection or a model that rejects screenshots, now streams
under its own event IDs. Before, the durable event log refused the replay as
a duplicate, so anyone who reloaded or reconnected saw the broken first
    attempt.
  • Deactivating one plugin: With several plugins active, deactivating one in
the plugin manager no longer switches off a different plugin.
  • Strands engine on Strands 1.20 and later: The Strands engine loads again.
Strands 1.20 needs the MCP client package as a peer, which the install had
    skipped.

🔒 Security

  • Dependency updates: The MCP TypeScript SDK moves to 1.32.1 (cross-origin
redirects that re-sent request headers, bearer tokens accepted for another
service, experimental tasks not tied to their session, and a memory
exhaustion during validation), Hono to 4.13.13 (serveStatic path decoding,
GHSA-5r4p-p66f-jhc7), and Vite to 8.3.4 (launch-editor on Windows, dev
server only). React 19.3.1, Strands 1.21, undici 8.12.2, and the AWS SDK are
    also current.
