Using lnd with Neutrino

Background

Hello, I want to use lnd in the Neutrino mode.
I also want to use the mainnet, is there a list with available nodes?
Another thing is, when I copy

docker create --name lnd-testnet lightninglabs/lnd --bitcoin.active --bitcoin.testnet --bitcoin.node=neutrino --neutrino.connect=faucet.lightning.community

In my Console docker says that there is no repo available and a login changes nothing.
I never used docker before.
I used lnd before without docker and bitcoind. That worked good but it isn't useable in prune mode so I want to switch to Neutrino.

The error you get in docker is because there is no image called lightninglabs/lnd. This might be from an older tutorial.
But you don't need docker to run lnd with neutrino. Docker is just a way to isolate processes and can be helpful if you need to run different versions of the same software or as a way to streamline a production deployment process.

You can create a config file called ~/.lnd/lnd.conf and add this content (replacing testnet with mainnet):

Because neutrino needs the option routing.assumechanvalid which is only enabled with the experimental build tag, you need to build lnd from source using the following command:
make install tags="experimental"

Can I use the default --neutrino.connect=faucet.lightning.community for a mainnet wallet?
faucet.lightning.community seem to be only a testnet faucet/use a testnet wallet

No, it seems the faucet.lightning.community is testnet only. I don't know what mainnet node actually works or if neutrino is fully supported on mainnet at this point. But I found this while googling: --neutrino.connect=btcd0.lightning.engineering, you can try this out.

I think running a routing node is not advised when using neutrino. So you should probably only open private channels and don't put any reckless amounts into them.

Is there a command to check the index of the wallet?

What exactly do you mean by "index of the wallet"? Do you mean lncli getinfo?
You can also get a list of available commands with lncli --help.
