This looks like a good idea to me! I've seen the autopilot failing frequently on testnet, so this might do the trick. Maybe you should consider adding the failing node to the skip map, such that it is not attempted again? |

This makes the autopilot controller re-evaluate its state in the case that it fails to open a channel. This seems to help on testnet where many nodes are not connectable.
