Surface Pro 8 has stylus issues (premature eraser click) on hyprland #1843

Hello, I have a Surface Pro 8 running the latest kernel. I am using a 3rd party stylus (the Renaisser Raphael 520C) and I'm having this issue where rapidly using the stylus, for example when writing which constantly involves touching and untouching the screen, cause the eraser function of the stylus to trigger on and off. This seems to be an issue specifically on my surface pro 8 which runs on arch using hyprland. I have a surface pro 4 running ubuntu gnome and the stylus does not exhibit that behavior. I tried adjusting ButtonMinMag in /etc/iptsd.conf to a wide array of possible values, rebooting after each change yo ensure that changes go through, but no matter what I do, there is no change in behavior.
