Description
Dear Linux Mint Team,
I'm a regular Linux Mint user and I love it, especially for playing Minecraft. Before installing a shaders mod, I was getting great performance - around 1000 FPS on 12 chunks and 300 FPS on 32 chunks. However, after applying the shaders mod and a shaders, I noticed a significant drop to around 90 FPS on 12 chunks and 50 FPS on 32 chunks.
In an effort to troubleshoot the issue, I've tried the following steps:
- Changed NVIDIA settings
- Tweaked kernel-related files
- Adjusted the shaders settings
- Tried different shaders mods (Optifine, Oculus)
- Used optimization mods (Embeddium, Optifine)
- Tweaked Minecraft settings through the Prism launcher
- Tested various NVIDIA driver versions
Unfortunately, none of these steps have helped improve the performance. I suspect the issue may be related to the integration between the shaders mod and the Mesa drivers on my system.
I'm reaching out to the Linux Mint team for guidance on how to resolve this performance issue. I'm eager to continue enjoying Minecraft with shaders, but the drop in FPS is quite noticeable.
Thank you for your assistance. I appreciate the great work you do in maintaining and improving Linux Mint.
Best regards,
Quantum
