Codex and Kimi Code can now finish a memo save without help, and every memex
process agrees on where its state and locks live.
Server update: none.
Fixed
- The memo-writing skill now includes the commands for scrubbing a memo,
storing its observations and signalling topics. It used to point to the
/memex:savecommand, which Codex and Kimi Code do not have. A live Codex
save stopped there. memex check --harnessesnow counts a Codex thread that an automation
opened once a person has taken turns in it. Such threads used to be skipped
as automations. In one 14-day window, 8 of 30 automation threads held a
person's work.memex scrub <path>now also finds a relative path from the folder you run
it in, when the vault has no such path. It used to look only in the vault,
so a path relative to an agent's workspace was not found. Paths the vault
has, andmemex scrubwith no path, behave as before.memex mark-savedand the saved-memo check now read session state from the
configuredstate_dir, where the hooks write it. With a customstate_dir,
a saved memo could look unsaved.state.jsonand the index lock stay in
~/.memexfor every process, so no two processes disagree and an upgrade
keeps its history.- Hooks now read
MEMEX_MEMEX_PATH,MEMEX_STATE_DIRandMEMEX_INDEX_PATH
beforeconfig.json, as the command line does. On both routes an empty
value counts as unset; it used to put the state in the current folder. - When an automation's Codex thread has a damaged or oversized record and no
readable turn of a person, memex check --harnessesnow says it could not
judge the thread, instead of calling it an automation.
Tests
- Tests never take the live
~/.memexlocks or write the livestate.json.
Before, 25 tests did, and some failed when a real memex process held a lock
at the same moment.
