Highlights

The activity block is a single ordered timeline now. Reasoning runs, tool calls and background task notices appear in the order they happened, the folded block shows the newest step together with the reasoning run before it, and Ctrl+O expands every block of the current turn plus the blocks that mount afterwards, instead of only the component toggled last. The status bar keeps its wave during reasoning, which a folded reasoning row is too quiet to show on its own.

Batched reads joined the block: the separate read card, its upgrade path and its revoke special case are gone, replaced by one renderer that lists the files a read covered. Background tasks started by a tool stay with the work that started them, and their notices use the same bullet glyphs as tool rows.

Two view settings that used to need a code change are commands now. /blockrows picks the collapsed height, the rows kept per tool result and the rows kept per reasoning run; /codebg toggles the panel behind code blocks, whose colours are toned down in both themes. Both apply on the next render, are saved, and repaint the transcript immediately.

Test runs no longer read the developer's own view preferences: each test file gets a private data directory that is removed when the file is done.

Version: all workspace packages bumped to 0.16.3.

Validation

  • Typecheck and package build green; oxlint clean on the changed files.
  • Full repository suite: 547 files, 6,953 tests passed, no failures.
  • Gates re-run on the pushed revision, after the pre-commit hook had rewritten files.
