Highlights

  • Faster startup. The session sweep now begins during the loading splash (prune candidates prefetched, every deletion still re-verified against a live read), launches from nested directories resume and prune correctly, and the loading screen no longer reads tui.toml twice. A build:cli fast build and bench:startup benchmark also land for contributors.
  • Prompt-cache friendly system prompt. The rendered system prompt is split into a static block and a dynamic block; providers with multi-block system support place their cache breakpoint on the static block. Compaction and request logging reuse the same request form so the provider-side prefix cache stays shared.
  • Better edit/write feedback loops. LSP diagnostics are appended to the model-visible tool output, editing a file with no recent read record now warns the model, and working-set path keys are normalized. The install hint moves to the UI side channel.
  • Tool-result side channels. display/message/useless are kept through result normalization so the tool.result event and the UI/RPC layers receive them, with an event-level regression test.
  • Smoother streaming. The per-frame budget converges once a backlog accumulates, so fast providers stay nearly caught up instead of dumping the tail at finalize; the user-message highlight preference is cached.
  • Faster glob traversal. The Glob tool prunes .git and dependency directories unless the pattern names them explicitly.
  • /login alias. Typing /login now opens the same model configuration flow as /config (shown as "/config (login)" in the autocomplete list).
