download, sync: --clean true deletes again. Since we moved to rimraf 4 in
11/2024, rimraf no longer expanded the * it got, so it looked for a file
literally named * and removed nothing. Stale files stayed in place,
for example a language or namespace that was removed in locize.
--clean now removes only what the path mask writes. With the default {{language}}/{{namespace}} that is every folder named after a language
code. With a flat mask like {{language}}-{{namespace}} it is the matching
files in the current format. If the mask starts with a fixed folder
(locales/{{language}}/{{namespace}}), the clean happens inside that folder.
Other files (an index.js next to your translations) and dot entries such
as .git and .locize always stay.
--clean true now refuses to run when --path is the working directory (the
default), contains it, or is the root of a git repository, unless the path
mask starts with a fixed folder. Under rimraf 3 this combination emptied the
whole project apart from dotfiles. Point --path at your translations folder
(--path ./locales) or start the mask with that folder.
rimraf is no longer a dependency: the CLI deletes with Node's own fs.rmSync.
