Solar Dash v0.3.0

@lockyt lockyt released this 24 Oct 23:01
  • TV notification settings apply immediately (no Save needed)
  • Notifications always start Off after the TV or background service restarts; switch them on in Settings → TV notifications

Solar Dash v0.2.9

Choose a tag to compare

@lockyt lockyt released this 20 Oct 22:16
  • Much lower CPU use on older TVs: the energy-flow animation was keeping a webOS 3.5 TV at ~90% CPU and could delay refreshes
  • Live data can no longer stall until the app is reopened (service-call timeout + watchdog)
  • Rooted TVs: opening Solar Dash re-runs the Homebrew Channel's boot setup if it didn't run after a reboot (update blocking, SSH, notifications)
  • New README section on the limitations of FoxESS Cloud scheduling, plus an optional Home Assistant add-on in contrib/home-assistant that clears the FoxESS schedule nightly

Solar Dash v0.2.8

@lockyt lockyt released this 20 Oct 06:42

Fix: the background service no longer sends a price notification immediately after it starts or restarts (e.g. after an app update). Timed, price-move and spike notifications work as before.

First public release.

Install: download com.solardash.tv_0.2.7_all.ipk below and install it with webOS Dev Manager, the Homebrew Channel, or ares-install. See the README for step-by-step instructions.

What's in it

  • Live FoxESS dashboard: energy flow, battery, today's totals, history (day/month/year)
  • Amber Electric prices and 24 h forecast, with price bands based on your own last 4 weeks of prices
  • Battery controls: charge from grid, discharge to grid, export solar first, hold battery, minimum-charge limits
  • Rooted TVs: background service with price notifications over any app or HDMI input, plus automatic restore of your FoxESS schedule after an override
  • OLED care (pixel shift, dim when idle), demo mode

Tested on a 2017 LG OLED C7 (webOS 3.5) with a FoxESS H3 Smart and 42 kWh battery. Reports from other models and webOS versions are very welcome.

Unofficial. Not affiliated with FoxESS, Amber Electric or LG. Battery controls send real commands to your inverter, so use them at your own risk.
