spacevalue prices asteroid material at eight destinations: Earth's surface, LEO, GTO, GEO, a cislunar depot, the lunar surface, Mars orbit and the Mars surface. It was Stage 2 of economicspace (modules/mineral_value.py), and its history comes with it.

Data contract 1.17.0. No number moved in the split. Built from the metals-2026-10-07 snapshot, all eight destinations equal economicspace's last Stage 2 (data contract 1.16.0) fed the same closes. The seven destinations it had frozen at 1.15.0 match those files byte for byte apart from the stamp. CI rebuilds the eight tables byte for byte on Windows, Linux and macOS.

  • Prices come from recorded quote snapshots by default, so a build is the same bytes on every run. Live quotes are opt-in.
  • spacevalue release builds every destination plus a sha256 manifest, and check-release gates it. Price releases are tagged prices-YYYY-MM-DD.
  • Requires Python 3.12+: two alloy yields are float sums, and sum() changed in 3.12.
  • Depends on spacecost v0.14.0.
