Minecraft Workbench now has Launcher, Developer and Server modes.

  • Server profiles for Vanilla, Paper, Purpur, Folia, Fabric, Quilt, Forge, NeoForge, Velocity and custom JARs, with automatic JDK preparation, console commands, settings and world backups.
  • Modrinth server plugins/mods with version browsing, dependency review and updates.
  • Optional MCP integration with 43 tools. MCP is off by default; use Workbench → More to register or unregister it.
  • Shared verified downloads, reuse of existing runtimes and parallel resumable ranges for large extension-managed files.
  • Mode, language and Settings remain visible. Agreements, MCP and maintenance tools are in the collapsed More group.
  • Publisher corrected to Lopleec. Extension ID: Lopleec.minecraft-workbench.

Install the VSIX from Assets using Extensions: Install from VSIX…. Remove the old minecraft-workbench.minecraft-workbench development build first if installed; existing default storage is detected. Microsoft accounts need to sign in again after the ID change.

Validation: 49 automated tests; Linux, Windows and macOS CI; actual Paper/Fabric/Quilt/Forge/NeoForge 1.21.4 installation, start, console and stop on macOS Apple Silicon. VS Code's native MCP client discovered all 43 tools. Other historical combinations have not all been tested. Gradle and server bootstrappers may perform their own additional downloads.

  • 支持从 Modrinth 安装服务端插件和模组，浏览版本、预览前置并检查更新。
  • 新增 43 个 MCP 工具，默认关闭，可在“工作台 → 更多”注册或取消注册。
  • 扩展管理的下载支持共享校验缓存、旧实例复用、大文件分段并行续传。
  • 模式、语言和设置直接显示；协议、MCP 和维护功能收进默认折叠的“更多”分组。
  • Publisher 修正为 Lopleec，扩展 ID 为 Lopleec.minecraft-workbench。

下载 Assets 中的 VSIX，使用“扩展：从 VSIX 安装…”安装。如装过旧的 minecraft-workbench.minecraft-workbench 开发包，请先卸载旧包；插件会检测原有默认存储。Microsoft 账户因扩展 ID 变更需要重新登录。

验证包括 49 项自动测试、Linux / Windows / macOS CI，以及 macOS Apple Silicon 上 Paper、Fabric、Quilt、Forge、NeoForge 1.21.4 的实际安装、启动、控制台和停服。VS Code 原生 MCP 客户端成功发现 43 个工具。未逐一验证所有历史组合；Gradle 与服务端引导程序可能自行下载额外依赖。
