• Start SSR: an ESM dependency entered through its module entry no longer 500s when that build uses extensionless relative imports (the @supabase/functions-js shape — no exports map, bundler-only ESM). A relative specifier from inside node_modules keeps Node semantics while its exact target exists; when it does not, the host finishes it through the same Vite-style resolver that picked the entry: extension inference, and a directory's own package.json entry (module over main, before index probing), as Vite's tryCleanFsResolve does. Regressed in 0.2.4 (#209), which routed dependency graphs into module entries plain Node never chose; measured at ~30% of TanStack Start projects on 0.2.4–0.2.8.
