This is an alpha release of Reläa.
v0.0.1

It likely has bugs:

About the release:

Features:

This release allows users to display their glucose values in one of two ways.
Text based: This is a simple/quick notification. That shows your glucose value for a few seconds as the data is retrieved from xDrip+.
Image based: This mode paints a fully graph of your historical glucose values to the screen that will persist until the next pool of xDrip+ for data. More of an "always on" HUD.

The app currently looks like this:

Expectations:

  • It is expected you have a pair of G1 glasses you can pair the app with.
  • It is expected that you are using xDrip+ locally on the same android device, and that the xDrip+ instance has the xDrip Web Service enabled locally.
  • Web Service Secrets are not supported at this time.
  • The Even Realities app is not running at the same time as Reläa. (If a setting change is required from the Evan app, start the even app, complete what needs to be done, then make sure the Even background task is terminated).

In app settings:

G1 Setting, Home Assistant and Whisper features likely work, but plan to be removed in a future release.

Out of app G1 management:

Currently there are many things that need to be managed outside Reläa.
Reläa will not:

  • Report battery level
  • Allow a quick reset
  • Allow brightness level change

Currently I do these things from the stock Even Realities app.

Android OS killing & pausing Reläa app:

This happens, please take whatever steps you take with xDrip+ to keep Reliaa from being stopped or put to sleep on your device.
The process is different for different manufacturers. I will try to make a more comprehensive guide for future releases.

How you can help:

If you live in a region that uses mmol as your standard unit of measure, please test out the app and let me know what results you see.
I have unit test for mmol detection and conversion, but have not been able (or maybe just have not) to test with real mmol data.

Good we have that out of the way.

This is a garden project, but I will try to dedicate time to making this app work for you if it's helping you manage your diabetes better; or think it can do that for you.

I have attached an apk below, but feel free to pull this tag down in android studio and build the app yourself.
