Important

This release adds Server-backed Worker observations. Upgrade the Server to
v2.5.0 before using Worker metadata or telemetry. Existing v2 Clients and
Workers remain compatible with the v2.5.0 Server; v2.5.0 Workers can still
execute Tasks against earlier v2 Servers, but metadata and telemetry
observations are unavailable. The database migration runs automatically when
the Server starts.

Changes

  • Add Worker metadata and dynamic metadata/telemetry filtering across the HTTP, Python and CLI query surfaces.
  • Add synchronous telemetry reporting to Python and command Workers with Server timestamps and complete-snapshot replacement semantics.
  • Expose Worker identity to command workloads through LABTASKER_WORKER_ID and keep reporting available during cleanup without affecting scheduling, leases or Task state.
  • Fix invalid labtasker loop --metadata values to fail as CLI usage errors before Worker startup.
