Important

This release changes managed-local Client and Server startup. Upgrading the Client and Server together is recommended. Existing v2 Clients remain compatible with the v2.6.0 HTTP API, but Clients before v2.6.0 cannot auto-start a v2.6.0 local Server because the labtasker-server start command was removed. No manual database migration is required; known v2 schema migrations remain automatic.

Changes

  • Change managed-local startup to explicit opt-in, add exact root and Unix-socket endpoint selection, and replace labtasker-server start with explicit serve --connection socket --daemon operation.
  • Add conservative SQLite operation for shared or unknown filesystems, including filesystem detection, serialized transactions, and explicit local/shared overrides.
  • Improve Worker claim recovery so ambiguous transport failures are reconciled before Task execution while preserving ownership fencing.
