Images that some emails still showed as broken attachments in 4.0.3 now show in the body, and unrelated emails with the same subject from the same sender (receipts, alerts, plugin updates) are no longer grouped into one conversation. AI actions also read only the message you see. Thanks to @coolswood, @Monkey7539 and @prudenciooficial for their pull requests, and to everyone who reported these.

Fixes

• Email images still broken in 4.0.3 (#640). Images sent as application/octet-stream (as some mailing systems do) were listed as attachments and shown broken in the body. They're now recognized by their content and shown where the email uses them. So are images referenced by file name in plain multipart/mixed mail, a cid: that names the file rather than the part, quoted-printable images, and non-standard types such as image/x-png. An email you opened before updating is fetched again once the next time you open it, so it fixes itself.
• Unrelated emails grouped into one conversation (#649). Emails without reply headers were grouped by subject whenever the sender matched, so receipts, alerts and notifications from one sender piled up into a single conversation that kept growing. Such mail now joins a conversation only when it looks like a reply (a "Re:" or "Fwd:" style subject, or a back-and-forth between two people), and automated mail never does. Mail with reply headers threads exactly as before.
• AI actions read CSS and quoted history (#646, #647). Translate, Summarize and custom actions on HTML-only emails were sent the contents of style blocks, the whole quoted thread and tracking links. They now get the text you see. Summarize leaves out quoted replies but keeps forwarded messages, and custom actions get the whole message with each link's address.
• Applying an AI suggestion (#651). Apply now keeps the blank lines between paragraphs, and markup in a suggestion stays text instead of becoming a link or formatting in your message.
• Pasting into the signature or quoted message kept page colors (#656). The fix from 4.0.3 for the composer now also covers the signature, the quoted message and the signature editor in Settings.
• Right-clicking an email in the conversation view (#655) no longer logs an error.
• The attachment preview's toolbar on phones (#648) no longer sits under the status bar in the installed app.

Upgrading

ghcr.io/maathimself/mailflow-backend:latest points at 4.0.4, published for amd64 and arm64.

• One database migration (0068), applied automatically when the backend starts. It splits existing conversations that were grouped only by subject, so you'll see more conversations afterwards, mostly receipts and notifications. It only ever separates messages and takes a few seconds on a large mailbox.
• Emails with images that you opened before updating are fetched from your mail server once more the next time you open them.
