Root package 'madcoda/php-youtube-api' cannot require itself in its composer.json

When I run this command 

`composer require madcoda/php-youtube-api:^1.2`

I got an error on the terminal which is 

**Root package 'madcoda/php-youtube-api' cannot require itself in its composer.json**
