Magic Camelot Companion 1.7.0

Magic Camelot Companion 1.7.0

Deutsch

• Lieber sagen statt tippen: Neben jedem Formular – Schatzkammer, Kanzlei, Erinnerungen, Gedächtnis, Bibliothek – stehen Beispielsätze.

English

The Companion is now always at hand – and even more can simply be said instead of typed.

• Tower window: if you like, the Companion becomes a small window at the edge of the screen, on top of Word or the browser. It shows today at a glance (appointments, tasks to tick off, the next reminder, payments due) and keeps the input field. Open it with the new button at the top, the menu in the notification area or Ctrl + Alt + C (pressed again: big ↔ small). Also available when closing and when starting with Windows.
• Rather say it than type it: next to every form – Treasury, Chancery, reminders, memory, library – there are example sentences. One click puts the sentence into the conversation field, you adjust it and send it.
• Appointments over several days: a holiday, a trip or a spa stay shows on every day, with “day 3 of 7”. “Put in my holiday from 2 to 9 August” works too, and calendar files keep the end.
• Local AI: in the Workshop you choose when it frees its memory – after 2, 10 or 30 minutes, or never.
• Treasury: WOW (formerly Sky Ticket) and Paramount+ with a checked cancellation page.

English

The Chancery now talks to other calendars too – no sign-in needed.

• Subscribe to a calendar: with the address of your Google, Outlook or iCloud calendar its appointments show in the Chancery, in blue and updated regularly. The Companion explains right there where to find the address.
• Read in a calendar file: an .ics file, such as school holidays or an old calendar, with a preview first. Duplicates are recognised.
• Save as .ics: your Companion calendar for Google, Outlook or the iPhone.
• The castle has grown: the Chancery and the Treasury now have their own towers on the castle map – a clock tower and a treasure tower.

• Was kosten mich meine Abos?

English

New in the castle: the Treasury – your subscriptions and contracts at a glance, digital and analog.

• What do my subscriptions cost? Totals per month and year, by area, with a monthly budget and a warning when it gets tight.
• Coming up: which payments are due this week and which notice periods end soon. Two weeks before the last day to cancel, the Companion reminds you.
• "Billed via" shows where to cancel – for example Prime Video channels at Amazon.
• One click to the official cancellation page of 19 big services, or a ready-made cancellation letter in Word, for example for the gym.
• Attach a bank statement and ask "Which subscriptions are in there?" – the Companion suggests them, and you confirm each one.
• No bank account is ever connected, no account or card numbers are stored. Everything stays encrypted on your PC.

English

New in the castle: the Chancery – your own calendar and task list, no account needed.

• Calendar with a month view: appointments with a time or all day, repeating every week, month or year if you like.
• Reminders at the start, 15 minutes, an hour or a day before – Windows speaks up even when the window is closed.
• A task list to tick off, with a due date if you like.
• Birthdays the Companion remembers appear in the calendar by themselves.
• Just say: "Put the hairdresser in for Friday at 2 pm", "Add bread to the list" or "What is on this week?" – as always, it asks first.
• The morning briefing now also names your appointments and tasks of the day.
• Everything stays encrypted on your PC.

• Frühere Gespräche durchsuchen: „Was hattest du mir letzte Woche geraten?“

English

Your Companion remembers what matters to you, searches the internet and thinks along.

• Remembering: people, birthdays and preferences – only if you agree, encrypted on your PC. In the settings you see everything and can change or delete it.
• On my own: birthday reminders, deadlines in letters pointed out, and if you like the morning briefing at the first start of the day. Each one can be switched on and off.
• Searching the internet: for current questions the Companion searches by itself and names its sources as links.
• New spells: the Translator and the Research Report with sources.
• Search earlier conversations: "What did you advise me last week?"
• Local AI that knows its limits: for legal, health and money questions, pictures and very long texts it offers to ask the cloud once – only if you agree. Under every local answer there is "Ask the cloud" for a second opinion.
• Answers that broke off are now recognised and no longer shown as finished.

English

New: an AI right on your PC – no key, no cost, even without internet.

• Local AI: in the Workshop the Companion suggests the model that suits your PC and downloads it with one click (about 3 to 7 GB). Afterwards it checks that the file arrived intact.
• Nothing leaves the computer: conversations with the local AI stay entirely on your PC.
• New "Local" level in the settings, free of charge. Reminders, documents, tidying up and searching your folders work here too – as always, it asks first.
• To be honest: the local AI is a little less clever than the cloud and cannot look at pictures yet. With a graphics card it answers smoothly, on the processor alone a little more slowly.
• New users can choose the local AI right during setup – no account with an AI service needed.

v1.1.0: Beschreibung, Lizenz und Lizenzhinweise fuer den Companion

Magic Camelot Companion 1.1.0

Deutsch

Vorher siehst du genau, was wohin kommt.

English
Your Companion can now do things for you, not just answer – and it asks first.

Reminders: "Remind me tomorrow at 9 about the dentist." The Companion speaks up on time, even from the background.
Create documents: letters, lists and tables as Word, PDF or Excel, saved in "Documents/Magic Camelot Companion".
Tidy up: sort Downloads or the Desktop into folders by kind. You see exactly what goes where before anything moves.
Questions about your files: it searches the folders you have shared in the Library and reads documents for you.
Attach pictures and documents: drag them into the window, paste them or use the paper clip.
You stay in charge: it asks before every action. Under "What has my companion done?" you can review and undo each action. In the settings you decide what it may do without asking.

v1.0.1: Beschreibung, Lizenz und Lizenzhinweise fuer den Companion

Deutsch

Danach kommen neue Versionen wieder automatisch.

English

An important fix for version 1.0.0.

• A fault in the "About the Companion" window blocked several things at start-up: the welcome and first steps, outside links, parts of the settings and the update check. All of this works again.
• From now on, if one part of the Companion gets stuck, everything else still starts.

If you have 1.0.0: please install this version once by hand – 1.0.0 cannot find updates by itself. After that, new versions arrive automatically again.
