Cloudlog v2.8.21 Release Notes

Welcome to Cloudlog version 2.8.21. This update fixes callbook settings and makes QRZ and HamQTH lookups stop hanging the rest of the site.

Callbook

  • None now saves. Choosing None and saving, with the password left blank, clears the provider. Previously the provider was only stored when a new password was entered, so None never stuck.
  • Settings follow the user being edited. Callbook type, username, and password are read by name and saved for that user.
  • Lookups time out. QRZ and HamQTH requests use connect and total timeouts, release the PHP session while they wait, and skip further requests for 60 seconds after a failure.
  • Failed lookups stay failed. A timeout or error returns request_failed and no longer wipes a valid callbook session.
  • QSO form. Stale callsign lookups are dropped, and the lookup stops waiting after 12 seconds.

Thanks to everyone who reported the callbook setting not clearing.
