Goblin Converter 0.1.1

@magynhard magynhard released this 28 Oct 22:33

Conversion modes

  • Remove the separate grayscale-quality mode from the interface, conversion logic and all translations.
  • Apply mode-specific presets when selecting a mode:
    • Color: 140 dpi, quality 50.
    • Grayscale: 170 dpi, quality 40.
    • Monochrome: unchanged at 300 dpi, quality 75 and threshold 66.
  • Keep threshold defaults at 66 for all modes and preserve the strip-metadata setting.
  • Keep visible sliders and actual conversion settings synchronized; manual adjustments remain available.

Behavior change: Grayscale now uses lossy JPEG compression instead of lossless ZIP, so its quality setting takes effect.

Documentation and checks

  • Add CHANGELOG.md, including the 0.1.0 release and the earlier unreleased 0.0.1 development history.
  • Add mode-preset regression specs and a GTK mode-switching integration check.
  • Verify 22 Crystal specs, 5 packaging tests, translations, formatting and desktop metadata.

Downloads

The Linux packages workflow attaches the x86_64 AppImage, local Flatpak bundle and SHA-256 checksums after the builds finish. The AppImage requires glibc 2.43 or newer; the Flatpak uses GNOME Platform 51.
