FeatherLaunch 0.1.0

The first public release of FeatherLaunch, a lightweight Minecraft: Java Edition launcher for older Windows and Linux PCs.

Downloads

• Windows 10/11 (64-bit): featherlaunch.exe. Run it from any folder; no installer. It isn't code-signed yet, so SmartScreen may warn you: choose More info, then Run anyway.
• Linux (64-bit, glibc 2.35+, X11 or Wayland): featherlaunch-linux-x64.tar.gz. Extract it and run featherlaunch/featherlaunch; it adds itself to your app menu.
• SHA256SUMS.txt lists the SHA-256 checksums of both files.

What's in it

• Instances with their own version, memory, Java and icon; groups, search, duplicate, play time.
• Fabric, Quilt, Forge and NeoForge, installed for you.
• Modrinth mods, resource packs, shaders and modpacks, with dependencies and updates; .mrpack import.
• Microsoft sign-in that stays signed in, skin preview and upload. Offline play once an account that owns the game has signed in.
• Automatic Java, a live game log with crash reports, and detailed progress with Cancel for downloads and installs.

You need a Microsoft account that owns Minecraft: Java Edition.
