Shatl 1.0.4

Choose a tag to compare

@mamontov-design mamontov-design released this 26 Oct 08:51

Shatl 1.0.4 — a tidier search in the add window, and minor interface improvements.

What’s new

  • The file search in the add window is cleared and reset for each new download, so the last query no longer hides its files. When nothing matches, the window says so.
  • Minor interface improvements.

Install

  1. Download Shatl-1.0.4.dmg below, open it, and drag Shatl to the Applications folder.
  2. Shatl is not signed with an Apple Developer ID or notarized, so macOS blocks the first launch. Click Done, open System Settings → Privacy & Security, choose Open Anyway, and confirm. The disk image includes a step-by-step guide.

If you already use Shatl, the update arrives in the app.

Requirements: an Apple Silicon Mac with macOS 26 or later.

@mamontov-design mamontov-design released this 25 Oct 10:51

Shatl 1.0.3 — licenses inside the app, and a few fixes.

What’s new

  • Settings → About has a Licenses button under the logo: Shatl’s license, a link to the source code, and the licenses of third-party components. The full license texts now ship inside the app.
  • Fixed: the add window comes to the front when a .torrent file or a magnet link is dragged into the Shatl window from Finder or a browser.

Install

  1. Download Shatl-1.0.3.dmg below, open it, and drag Shatl to the Applications folder.

Shatl 1.0.2

@mamontov-design mamontov-design released this 24 Oct 12:26

Shatl 1.0.2 — a new look and a monochrome appearance, new ways to add and manage downloads, and a smoother download list.

What’s new

  • The color palette has been refreshed and is now based on Radix colors.
  • The status badge is filled while a download is downloading or seeding, and outlined while it’s stopped, saved to the list, or stalled. The new Stalled status marks a download or a seeding that has had no speed for a while.
  • In Settings → Appearance, the “i” next to speed color-coding shows the speed each color starts at.
  • Monochrome appearance: the download list, Settings and the logo turn black and white, and the accent turns black. Turn it on in Settings → Appearance.
  • Select several downloads with ⌘-click, Shift-click or ⌘A: the toolbar buttons, the Downloads menu and the keyboard act on all of them.
  • Drag and drop or paste: drag a .torrent file or a magnet link into the window, or paste it with ⌘V.
  • Keyboard control: Space starts or stops the selected downloads, Delete removes them, Esc clears the selection. The commands of the Downloads menu in the menu bar have keyboard shortcuts: for example, ⌘N adds a download, and ⌘. starts or stops it.
  • The add window warns when the selected files don’t fit on the disk and offers to save the download to the list until there is room.
  • The list follows a card as it expands and moves smoothly when downloads are removed.
  • The list stays smooth with many downloads: cards simplify from 10 active downloads, and the speed block no longer bounces when the speed changes.
  • Settings → About has links to the website, the privacy policy and the terms of use.
  • Fixed: on macOS 27 the list no longer jumps when the total speed at the bottom of the window hides, and the message about missing files no longer says that all of them are gone when only one is.

Install
