revit-1.0.0 — Mantle Place for Revit
Revit 2025, 2026 and 2027, Windows 64-bit. One build serves all three. Close Revit, extract the zip and run MantlePlace.bundle\Install.cmd, or copy the files directly inside MantlePlace.bundle\Contents into your add-ins folder as README.txt describes. The plugin is unsigned, so each Revit version asks once: choose Always Load. Install guide · mantle.place/revit
Upgrade by closing Revit and running the new Install.cmd over the old one; nothing else to do.
Upgrading from 0.2.0
- The zip's root is now
MantlePlace.bundle/, an Autodesk application bundle.Install.cmdandContentssit inside it. Install it one way, not both: a copy in an add-ins folder and the same bundle installed from the Autodesk storefront would load twice, soInstall.cmdrefuses while a storefront copy is installed and names its folder. (#467)
What's new
- Exports from the vault open in Revit. While you are signed in, the vault lists this Revit and its open document as a place to send an export; sending one opens the import window, and the vault shows when the import is done or cancelled. (#478, #481, #484, #496)
- The import window opens with your last-used choices. (#477)
- The Prepare for Handover button draws its glyph in the light and dark ribbon themes. (#497)
- The plugin's own strings call it a plugin. (#457)
Known issues
- A signed-in Revit that sits idle can drop out of the vault's export list about an hour after signing in, and stays out until something it does renews its sign-in. Fixed on
mainfor the next release (#501). Uninstall.cmdreports a failure when nothing can answer its last question, as when its input is redirected. That question only asks whether to delete local data, and the data is kept. Fixed onmainfor the next release (#499).
Verification
- Built from
f9d2811onmain.ci-revit-testsgreen. - Release gate (2026-10-29), this zip installed copy-first as
README.txtdescribes: the ribbon loaded from it in Revit 2025, 2026 and 2027, and one real import of a site bundle completed in all three, unattended, with no unexpected dialog. Receiving an export from the vault was not yet run against the live platform. - Published asset (2026-10-29): downloaded from this release, its sha256 matches below; its
Install.cmdinstalled it into all three add-in folders and Revit 2025 loaded the ribbon from that install. Checked on the build machine; a machine that never built the plugin was not tried. unreal-0.8.1 — Mantle Place for Unreal
Unreal Engine 5.8, Windows 64-bit. Extract the zip into your project's Plugins/ folder and open the project. Install guide
Upgrade by replacing the MantlePlace folder; there is nothing else to do.
What's new
- A complete order imports straight from the vault. An order built complete when it was bought downloads only the files Unreal reads and imports, with no Prepare step (#427).
- Road centrelines are placed on a US order. The plugin reads the copy of the roads the manifest publishes in the landscape's own datum, so US roads land at the right height instead of being skipped (#431).
- A file the archive leaves out no longer stops the import. A file the manifest declares but this host's download does not carry is skipped, named in the log, and the rest imports (#468).
- A bundle with no terrain is refused with an accurate message (#482).
- The plugin's own strings call it a plugin (#457).
Known issues
- Not every public-record layer is imported yet (#259).
Verification
- Built from
2a1d5cdonmain; its plugin tree is identical to404c6ed, where the gate ran. The editor build and a consuming project's compile were green. The full automation suite passed in the full editor, offscreen: 67 of 67 on a World Partition level with none skipped, and 67 of 67 on a non-partitioned level. Each run included a live import of a 2.0 bundle, one imperial and one metric. A vault download of the platform's Unreal archive of a fresh imperial order imported in the full editor: 24 of 33 declared payloads verified by sha256, the 9 the archive leaves out each skipped and named, 1821 actors created;mpb validatepassed on that archive. - Published asset (2026-10-29): downloaded from this release, its sha256 matches below, and it installed and loaded in a project that never built the plugin.

unreal-0.8.0 — Mantle Place for Unreal
Unreal Engine 5.8, Windows 64-bit. Extract the zip into your project's Plugins/ folder and open the project. Install guide
Upgrade by replacing the MantlePlace folder; there is nothing else to do.
What's new
- Reads bundles in the 2.0 format, beside 1.x. Earlier versions refuse a 2.0 bundle. Files are found through the bundle's manifest, whatever the letter case, and a 1.x bundle imports as before (#404).
- ODbL content is filed in a labelled container. Everything imported from OpenStreetMap or Overture data sits in an
ODbLoutliner folder, and in an ODbL data layer on World Partition levels. Prepare for handover (Tools menu) removes it and leaves a credit actor holding the bundle's attribution (#396). - Choose the tree-points level. A new project setting picks MAX, MED or MIN tree points; the default, MAX, imports as before (#382).
- Send Feedback and Report a problem. The vault panel header opens the feedback form, and each bundle row can report a problem with that bundle (#410).
- A long credit line no longer crashes the import (#415).
- Re-importing into a World Partition level replaces the prior import's unloaded actors instead of refusing (#339).
Known issues
- Road centrelines are not placed on a US order. A US bundle states its road heights in NAVD88, not the landscape's datum, so the importer skips the roads and says why in the log (#280).
- Not every public-record layer is imported yet (#259).
Verification
- Built from
9466fd7onmain. The editor build and the full automation suite (65 passed, none skipped) were green at that commit, and the same 65 passed again on the binaries in this zip. The suite ran in the full editor, offscreen, on an empty partitioned World Partition level, with a live import of a 2.0 bundle; a live import of a 1.x bundle also passed on this zip. A consuming project's compile was not run for this release. - Published asset (2026-10-25): downloaded, sha256 matches, installed into a fresh Blueprint-only UE 5.8 project that never built the plugin; both modules, the Python content and the drape material loaded, and the descriptor reads 0.8.0.

revit-0.2.0 — Mantle Place for Revit
Revit 2025, 2026 and 2027, Windows 64-bit. One build serves all three. Close Revit, extract the zip and run Install.cmd, or copy Contents into your add-ins folder as README.txt describes. The add-in is unsigned, so each Revit version asks once: choose Always Load. Install guide · mantle.place/revit
Upgrade by closing Revit and running the new Install.cmd over the old one; nothing else to do.
What's new
- Reads MPB 2.0 bundles beside 1.x. Orders delivered in the new bundle format import as before, with each vector layer read from the bundle's own projected GeoPackage. (#405, #418)
- Prepare for Handover. OpenStreetMap-derived content is filed in a labelled container, and one command removes it before you share the project with a client, keeping the credit. (#400)
- Site vectors come from the bundle's GeoPackage where a 1.x bundle carries one, and a carrier that states no unit for its origin is refused rather than misplaced. (#399, #402)
- Large site models link. The site model converts as Link IFC does, so a big one is no longer refused with "Can't keep elements joined", and a conversion that does roll back says why instead of raising a dialog. (#358, #363)
- Send Feedback in the Account menu, and Report a Problem on a bundle in the vault. (#412)
Known issues
- Large orders need a lot of memory and time. On a smaller machine, import fewer layers or a smaller area.
Verification
- Built from
bb5acc1onmain.ci-revit-testsgreen. - Release gate (2026-10-25), this zip installed by its own
Install.cmd: the ribbon loaded from it in Revit 2025.4, 2026.5 and 2027.2. One import of every layer of a 1 km² MPB 2.0 bundle completed in all three, from the same commit's source run unattended rather than from the ribbon button; placement, the linked site model, every vector layer and Prepare for Handover passed in each. A 1.x bundle passed the same checks in Revit 2027. The ribbon in both UI themes was not checked. - Published asset (2026-10-25): downloaded, sha256 matches below; its
Install.cmdinstalled it into all three add-in folders, and Revit 2027.2 loaded the full ribbon from that install and completed a terrain import. Checked on the build machine; a machine that never built the plugin was not tried. Unreal Engine 5.8, Windows 64-bit. Extract the zip into your project's Plugins/ folder and open the project. Install guide
Upgrade by replacing the MantlePlace folder; there is nothing else to do.
What's new
- The editor panel uses the engine's own fonts. The plugin no longer bundles any font files, so it ships no third-party content at all (#388).
- Road splines are read from the layer's GeoPackage (#390).
Verification
- Built from

Unreal Engine 5.8, Windows 64-bit. Extract the zip into your project's Plugins/ folder and open the project. Install guide
Upgrade by replacing the MantlePlace folder; there is nothing else to do.
What's new
- World Partition levels are supported. An imported landscape is split into streaming proxies, each imported layer family gets its own Data Layer, and terrain and buildings get HLOD layers, with a prompted HLOD build.
- Trees are scattered with PCG from the bundle's tree points, partitioned across the World Partition grid.
- Every public-record layer imports, in both the current bundle layout and the legacy one.
- Roads arrive as typed spline actors, and tree species as a foliage table that PCG can bind to.
- Re-import is sturdier. Re-importing into a saved World Partition level regenerates the foliage scatter. A second re-import before saving is no longer refused. A re-import over a saved buildings mesh leaves the level savable. A re-import while a prior scatter's cell is unloaded is refused, with the reason given.
- The editor panel's fonts ship under
Source/ThirdParty/with their OFL licence texts (#364). - Reads bundle manifests MPB 1.8.0 through 1.13.0.
Verification
- Built from
3a1dc82onmain. The editor build and the full automation suite (53 passed, none skipped) were green at that commit. The suite ran in the full editor, offscreen, on a partitioned World Partition level, with a live bundle import and the orientation check at identity. A consuming project's compile was green at that commit. That project's own automated test run was not used as the gate, because it runs without a World Partition editor world. - Published asset (2026-10-22): downloaded, sha256 matches, installed into a fresh Blueprint-only UE 5.8 project that never built the plugin; both modules, the Python content and the drape material loaded, and the descriptor reads 0.7.0.

revit-0.1.0 — Mantle Place for Revit
Revit 2025, 2026 and 2027, Windows 64-bit. One build serves all three. Close Revit, extract the zip and run Install.cmd, or copy Contents into your add-ins folder as README.txt describes. The add-in is unsigned, so each Revit version asks once: choose Always Load. To remove it, run Uninstall.cmd. Install guide
The first Revit release.
What it does
- Imports a Mantle Place bundle into the open project. Pick the layers and level of detail; the import runs step by step, can be stopped, and names anything it could not place.
- Terrain as a toposolid at the bundle's georeference, with imagery draped on it; context buildings; roads and water as subdivisions, plus centrelines; land cover and land use on land plans; published contours; hazards on a hazard plan; trees as planting families; site location, sun and time zone.
- Re-importing an order is refused, never duplicated.
- The vault: sign in with your browser to list, prepare, download and import your orders. Revit stays usable while it works.
- F1 on any ribbon button opens the user guide.
- Reads bundle manifests MPB 1.8.0 through 1.12.0.
Known issues
- Context buildings and the site-model link can be dropped. On some site models Revit raises "Can't keep elements joined" with Cancel as the only choice; both steps roll back and the log says so. (#329)
- Large orders need a lot of memory and time. The gate order peaked near 58 GB and took up to about 100 minutes. On a smaller machine, import fewer layers or a smaller area.
Verification
- Built from
4bacea1onmain: the gateded63792plus F1 help andUninstall.cmd(#336).ci-revit-testsgreen. - Release gate (2026-10-14/15), the
ed63792zip installed by its own installer, one import of every layer of a large order: the ribbon loaded and the import completed in Revit 2025.4, 2026.5 and 2027. Everything imported except context buildings and the site-model link (the first known issue). - Published asset:
Uninstall.cmdremoved every add-in file and kept the sign-in. A clean machine installed it, loaded the ribbon and signed in. F1 help is not yet checked in Revit. MantlePlace-Revit-0.1.0.zipsha25665b6cfec66a87e7d3f671df45bbf818de8ef32e471d64c5105c8f99cf7f0ca79
unreal-0.6.0 — Mantle Place for Unreal
Unreal Engine 5.8, Windows 64-bit. Extract the zip into your project's Plugins/ folder and open the project. Install guide
Upgrade by replacing the MantlePlace folder; see below.
Upgrading from 0.5.0
On a US order the road layer is now skipped. 0.5.0 placed a US order's road centrelines in the wrong place: their heights are NAVD88 and it read them as the landscape's EGM2008 (#279). 0.6.0 skips that layer on US orders and names the skip in the import summary. Roads outside the US are unchanged.
What's new
- A layer in a datum the landscape is not in is a named skip, never a wrong placement.
- Tree points are placed from the frame their file states; a file that falls off the landscape is refused.
- The import summary names the coordinate system the bundle is delivered in.
- Cesium streaming checks availability per tile set and stages only the files it needs.
- Reads bundle manifests MPB 1.8.0 through 1.12.0. Newer additions this host does not use yet are ignored safely.
Verification
- Built from
d206112onmain. The editor build and the automation suite (31 passed) were green at that commit, plus a consuming project's compile and live import. - Published asset (2026-10-14): downloaded, installed into a fresh UE 5.8 project that never built the plugin, and loaded.

unreal-0.5.0 — Mantle Place for Unreal
Unreal Engine 5.8, Windows 64-bit. Extract the zip into your project's Plugins/ folder and open the project. Install guide
Upgrade by replacing the MantlePlace folder; content imported by 0.4.0 re-imports in place.
What's new
- Tree points are read by column name, in any order. 0.4.0 silently dropped the whole tree layer if the file gained a column; now an unknown column is ignored and a missing one is named. (#177, #178)
- Each import logs where its time went, phase by phase. Set
MANTLEPLACE_IMPORT_TIMELINE_DIRto also write it as JSON. (#97, #99, #104, #105, #107, #117, #120) - The new Mantle Place mark, and a sign-in completion page that names the host that asked. (#137, #138)
- The local-import button reads the same as in Revit. (#144, #145)
Verification
- Built from
ed0ace3onmain. The private compile gate and all 30 automation tests were green at that commit, including the live import. - Published asset: installed into a fresh Blueprint-only UE 5.8 project; both modules loaded and the descriptor read 0.5.0.

unreal-0.4.0 — Mantle Place for Unreal
Unreal Engine 5.8, Windows 64-bit. Extract the zip into your project's Plugins/ folder and open the project. Install guide
Upgrade by replacing the MantlePlace folder; see below.
The first release tagged unreal-<version>. The earlier v0.1.0–v0.3.0 tags stay as published.
Upgrading from v0.3.0
Delete content imported by 0.3.0 or earlier before you import again. It was keyed on the build rather than the order, so 0.4.0 cannot match it, and it refuses rather than deleting your content. Remove the /Game/MantlePlace/… folder it names and the MP_* actors in your level, then import.
What's new
- Re-import replaces instead of stacking a second landscape. Content is keyed on the order, and an actor you rename is still found. (#45, #50, #53)
- Sign-in holds across vault tabs, editor restarts and the Revit add-in; an expired session renews once and retries. (#49, #51, #52, #54, #55, #56, #62)
- Tree points are integrity-checked like every other file; a tampered bundle stops before anything is placed. (#84)
- An import ends by saying nothing is saved yet. Use File ▸ Save All.
- New settings under Project Settings ▸ Plugins ▸ Mantle Place: the sign-in port range and vault polling.
- The drape warns when it does not fit the landscape, and the shader step reports progress.
Verification
- Built from
ec09bc6onmain. The private compile gate and the full automation suite were green at that commit, including the live import. - Published asset: installed into a fresh Blueprint-only UE 5.8 project; both modules loaded and the descriptor read 0.4.0. Run after first publication.
