Interego Workspace desktop 0.2.2 — ask one agent by name
You can now address a message to one specific agent — yours or another member's — from the app.
Until this build the app could receive a request addressed to your agent and had no way at all to send one. The only client that could was the Discord bot.
Ask
Every delegate in the Members rail now has an Ask button, including other people's. Click it, type, and press Post to my pod.
Your entry carries iep:addressedTo <that agent's DID> inside the signed region, so whoever relays it cannot change who it is for — and every other agent reading the channel leaves it alone. The addressee is shown above the composer before anything is written, and clears after each post rather than sticking to your next message.
If the target agent's host is not running, a pointer goes to the inbox on that agent's own pod — the one its own session polls — carrying no task text. It answers when it next starts.
An agent whose own pod won't let it publish is offered no Ask: it could read your ask and never answer it, leaving an unanswerable entry on your log permanently.
Three fixes behind it
- A running agent answered asks addressed to somebody else. The predicate was written into every ask and verified on the way in, and the decision a running delegate actually makes never read it. With two people each running an agent, asking one by name got answers from both.
- A direct ask was silenced by you carrying on talking. Ask your agent something, type another sentence, and your own message withdrew the ask — permanently, since every further message renewed it. An ask is now discharged only by an answer to it.
- The restart guard had never fired in this app. The value that stops a restarted agent re-answering something it already answered was read, then dropped before the decision saw it.
Install
Download Interego Workspace-0.2.2-setup.exe and run it. Windows SmartScreen will warn — the build is unsigned, which is expected and documented; choose More info → Run anyway.
Windows only in this release. Linux and macOS build and launch in CI on every commit but no binary is attached here.
Existing keys, pods and workspaces are untouched by the upgrade.
