Changes

  • An origin that only speaks h2c (it answers an HTTP/1.1 request with an HTTP/2 SETTINGS frame) is now a 502 within milliseconds, or a stale copy when one may be served. Before, nginx passed the bytes on as an HTTP/0.9 answer after about 65 s (the keepalive timeout) and kept the client's connection open. The origin counts as failing in the passive health check.
  • A request without Content-Length (chunked, HTTP/2, HTTP/3) is read only up to its own body limit (the site's, or the matching rule's) and answered 413 once it passes it. Before, it was read up to the largest limit of all sites, or without a limit when any site or rule had none, before the site's limit was judged. Requests with Content-Length, without a limit or with the largest limit behave as before.

Nothing changes in the node channel or the configuration format (proto v1.3.0); any console works with it.

Upgrade: use the console's node upgrade, or the install command with --version 1.3.1.
