Changes

  • The node places itself on the console's overview globe: the console names the node's public address in each heartbeat answer, the node looks it up in its local GeoIP databases (country and subdivision; coordinates when a City MMDB agrees on the country) and reports it in the next heartbeat. Lookups stay on the node and are kept per address; nothing is sent anywhere else.

Proto proto/v1.7.0 (adds ReportStatusResponse.locate_address and ReportStatusRequest.location). No new capabilities.

Upgrade: use the console's node upgrade, or the install command with --version 1.6.2.
