0.3.2rc2

The second release candidate of localm 0.3.2. It has everything in 0.3.2rc1 plus the fixes made since; the full list is in the changelog under 0.3.2rc2.

New since rc1

• Error messages in the GUI stay until you close them, and Settings > Recent errors lists the last five with Copy and "Report this error".
• Dollar amounts in a chat reply ("$5 and $10") are no longer typeset as math.
• Every setup (console and window, Windows and Linux) offers the same choices: the same plugins preselected, the same backend list, Portable or Shared asked once.
• Resuming an interrupted full-model download respects your network policy, and a finished download no longer stays listed as interrupted.
• Stop ends a running coder sub-agent at its next step.
• Importing a model folder with copy or move no longer stops on one folder that fails, and two imports of the same name can no longer remove each other's model.
• The chat's Markdown and math renderers are updated.
• Updating now brings the native llama.cpp runtime to the build this release ships. Before, an update kept the old runtime, so an install updated from 0.3.0 or 0.3.1 ran on that version's runtime. An install updated by an older version catches up on its first start. A runtime you pinned yourself is kept. If the runtime is in use by another program, the update finishes on the next start. A failed download keeps the old runtime working.

Getting it

• From 0.3.1 or 0.3.2rc1: turn on "Offer prerelease updates" in Settings > Updates, then update as usual. It applies with a restart.
• From 0.3.0: the update also reinstalls dependencies, which needs a uv command the app can find. If uv is not installed on your system, the update stops and leaves 0.3.0 as it was. Then either install uv (for example with Astral's installer), close localm, start it again from a new terminal window (or after signing out and back in) so it sees the updated PATH, and update again; or extract this release over your install folder and run setup.bat (Windows) or bash setup.sh (Linux, macOS). Your models, chats and settings are kept.
• A fresh install: download the zip and run setup.bat (Windows) or setup.sh (Linux, macOS).

This build of 0.3.2rc2 replaces the first one published under the same version, to add the runtime update above. An install already on 0.3.2rc2 is not offered it again; it gets the fix with the next release.

This is a prerelease. It is not offered to installs on the normal update channel.
