I thought that we've done this in the past, but I can't find examples except for security advisories (https://github.com/matrix-org/synapse/blob/develop/docs/changelogs/CHANGES-2020.md#security-advisory, https://github.com/matrix-org/synapse/blob/master/CHANGES.md#synapse-1520-2022-02-08). #7176 (comment) is the most similar thing I can see, where we didn't make any changes. We also could call it out in the blog post, not sure if that makes more sense. |
