What's new

  • Install via pip — ProofPGS is now available on PyPI. Install with pip install proofpgs to get the proofpgs command with all dependencies and a bundled libpgs binary. Available for Windows x64, Linux x64, macOS x64, and macOS ARM64.

  • Cross-platform file manager integration — --install and --uninstall now work on Linux and macOS in addition to Windows:

    • Linux: Adds freedesktop .desktop files so ProofPGS modes appear in the "Open With" menu. Registers a custom MIME type for .sup files.
    • macOS: Creates Finder Quick Actions via Automator .workflow bundles, accessible from the right-click menu.
    • Windows: Unchanged — continues to use the Explorer cascading context menu via registry.

Build provenance

All release archives and PyPI wheels are built from source in GitHub Actions. Each archive includes a BUILD_INFO.txt with the exact libpgs commit used. Verify with:
