Tokrate 0.1.30 — request-size cache telemetry

Choose a tag to compare

@mattivilola mattivilola released this 21 Oct 07:31

Tokrate 0.1.30 adds privacy-safe input-size buckets for individual model requests, including short responses, so cache ratios can be interpreted alongside request size. It records numeric token counts only, never prompt text.

Sharing notice v7 requires renewed opt-in before an existing sharing-enabled installation contributes the new fields. Sharing OFF stays OFF; historical sessions are not backfilled. Sources without complete per-request accounting report this information as unavailable.

Apple silicon, macOS 14 or later. Developer ID signed, Apple notarized and stapled. Sparkle updates are signed. ZIP SHA-256: 7fa58bdf5777244cb224b8893c971275305bf22af24d1211b49eac8480ac879c.

Validation: 646 core and 164 app tests passed (one skipped); hardened-runtime signatures, stapling and Gatekeeper passed. An actual old-to-new update on the owner's installed app has not been exercised in this release task.

Tokrate 0.1.30 headless alpha

Pre-release

Choose a tag to compare

Tokrate headless 0.1.30 alpha adds privacy-safe input-size buckets for individual model requests, including short responses, and reports unknown data as unavailable. It never collects prompt text.

Notice v7 requires renewed opt-in before sharing resumes. Saved OFF remains OFF; no historical sessions are backfilled. Native Debian 12 amd64 and arm64 CI passed. All packages and the exact-byte update manifest are signed and independently verified, including rejection of tampered bytes.

Install the package for the coding-agent account's host architecture. Existing installs can check the signed headless alpha feed and explicitly update. Production server installation and physical-host reboot/old-to-new acceptance were not performed as part of publishing this release.

Tokrate 0.1.30 desktop alpha

Pre-release

Choose a tag to compare

Tokrate 0.1.30 desktop alpha adds privacy-safe per-request input-size buckets for cache analysis, independently of speed-qualified response counts. Incomplete source data remains unavailable; no prompt text is collected.

Notice v7 requires renewed sharing opt-in. Saved sharing OFF stays OFF, with no historical backfill. Native Windows and Linux CI passed core, desktop, installer and isolated sharing-OFF WebView checks. Packages carry verified updater signatures.

Windows x64 requires Windows 11 and WebView2. The installer is not Authenticode-signed and may trigger SmartScreen. Linux x64 targets Ubuntu 22.04-compatible desktops; sharing needs an unlocked Secret Service keyring. AppImage updates support explicit in-app installation; .deb updates use the package manager.

This remains alpha: manual installation, old-to-new upgrades, tray and credential-store acceptance on physical Windows/Linux desktops are pending.

Tokrate Headless 0.1.29 alpha

Pre-release

Choose a tag to compare

Tokrate Headless 0.1.29 adds a more useful live terminal dashboard: monotonic collector uptime, heartbeat freshness, estimated next upload attempt, and per-tool completed-turn activity strips. Layouts adapt to terminal size while keeping upload status and keyboard controls visible.

The countdown uses actual queue eligibility and retry timing. It does not promise delivery or publication; stale/stopped status suppresses a live countdown. Activity is a local workload count, not a speed or quality comparison. The new operational fields stay on the server and never enter community reports.

Explicit additional_codex_roots can monitor up to three extra session directories while retaining the default profile, sharing the existing Codex byte budget and checkpoint limit. Saved source paths are preserved on reinstall; additional profiles are not discovered automatically. The monitor dates its newest local turn and shows configured/present profile counts, so a running collector is not mistaken for fresh work. See the headless README for administrator configuration.

Update with tokrate-headless update or press U in the monitor. Installations older than 0.1.28 can rerun the published bootstrap once. Settings, sharing choices, encrypted identity and history are preserved. Checking for updates remains independent of sharing, and installation requires administrator action.

This remains a Debian server alpha. Native amd64/arm64 packages and signed update metadata are included; desktop versions are released separately.

Tokrate Headless 0.1.28 alpha 1

Pre-release

Choose a tag to compare

Tokrate Headless now checks for new releases with a separate daily systemd timer, even when community sharing is off. Use tokrate-headless check-update to check now, tokrate-headless update to choose whether to install, and tokrate-headless update-checks on|off to control automatic checks. Press U in the terminal monitor for the same explicit update flow.

Updates verify a signed release manifest and package digest, preserve account settings, sharing choices, encrypted identities and history, and confirm the installed version plus restarted service processes and fresh heartbeats. A current installation is reported clearly. Installation is always an administrator action; checking does not install anything.

The terminal monitor now shows the last successful upload with a UTC timestamp and age, preserved across service restarts, and distinguishes no successful uploads from failed attempts. Sent counters are labeled since restart.

For installations older than 0.1.28, rerun the published installer once for the same account. This remains a Debian server alpha. Native build and test provenance accompany the release assets.

Tokrate 0.1.28 — Windows/Linux alpha

Pre-release

Linux desktop .deb installations now check for updates automatically or on request, even with community sharing turned off. The Updates page and banner show the installed and available versions; installation stays manual through your package manager. Update checks have a separate switch and never send contribution identity or measurements.

Windows and Linux AppImage retain their signed, explicit installation flow. Windows and Linux remain alpha. Native CI results and source provenance accompany the release assets; hands-on installer and old-to-new updater acceptance are recorded separately.

Tokrate 0.1.27 — Faster grouped uploads

Choose a tag to compare

@mattivilola mattivilola released this 16 Oct 11:31

Tokrate shares completed measurements sooner: uploads normally arrive about 1–7 minutes after a turn finishes. Five-minute completion timestamps and grouped upload timing remain in place, with no new data fields or sharing choice.

Offline clients, delayed collection and unfinished subagent work can take longer. The website now opens on the last hour so recent comparisons are less likely to disappear between uploads.

macOS 14 or newer; Apple Silicon. Developer ID signed and notarized.

Tokrate Headless 0.1.27 alpha — Faster grouped uploads

Choose a tag to compare

The Debian server client now uses the same faster grouped upload schedule as the desktop companions: completed turns normally arrive about 1–7 minutes later. Completion timestamps stay rounded to five minutes, and sharing remains an explicit choice. Offline collection, sleep and pending subagent work can take longer.

Native Debian 12 amd64/arm64 builds, 393 core tests and systemd/installer checks passed in CI 38894144251, source e71c4527b02d78c501771ebc2b3a5a181877206d. Package/archive signatures and tamper rejection were verified. This remains a server alpha with manual updates. Existing installations do not change until their administrator installs the update.

Tokrate desktop 0.1.27 alpha — Faster grouped uploads

Choose a tag to compare

Completed measurements normally reach the community board in about 1–7 minutes, using five-minute completion buckets and grouped upload timing. Saved sharing choices stay unchanged; offline or delayed collection and unfinished subagent work can take longer. Upload retries are paced independently of community-board refreshes.

Windows and Linux remain alpha. Native Windows and Ubuntu builds, tests, installer packaging and WebView smoke passed in CI 38894143831, source e71c4527b02d78c501771ebc2b3a5a181877206d. Windows is not Authenticode-signed; update packages have cryptographic signatures. Hands-on installer and old-to-new updater acceptance remain separate.

Tokrate 0.1.26 — consistent coding-tool colors

Choose a tag to compare

@mattivilola mattivilola released this 15 Oct 11:13

Tokrate 0.1.26 gives every supported coding tool its brand-colored chip in model selections, history, and the menu bar. Claude, Codex, Grok Build, Antigravity, OpenCode, Kimi Code, and T3 Code now use matching colors across Mac, Windows/Linux, and the website, including dark mode.

Includes T3 Code support for Codex, Claude, and Antigravity runtimes. Sharing choices and local history are preserved.

Requires macOS 14 or later and Apple silicon. Developer ID signed, Apple notarized, stapled, and Gatekeeper verified.
