  • things finds the Things database when the old database path is a stub file that points to the relocated library. Before, every command without --database failed with database_access_denied (#5, thanks @sowenjub)
  • The Files & Folders advice appears only for permission errors. Other failures report database_unreadable with the underlying error (#5)
  • New THINGS_DATABASE environment variable selects a database when you can't change the arguments, such as in an MCP client configuration. --database takes precedence (#5 by @mattt)
