The DESTINY repository contains references collected from OpenAlexThese references primarily represent scientific literature and can be enriched with additional information through so-called enhancements.

Enhancements can contain different types of information, including labels, classifications, countries, or other annotations. They can originate from different sources, such as human annotations, machine-learning classifiers, or Named Entity Recognition (NER).

The DESTINY repository supports the automated creation of enhancements through robots. A robot retrieves references from the repository, applies a specific enrichment method, and submits the resulting enhancements back to the repository. This allows large numbers of references to be enriched automatically and reproducibly.

This wiki documents the concepts, implementation details, and workflows developed while implementing the robot framework and deploying robots based on it.
