Based on user feedback, it was indicated that there were issues in DOS and ScummVM prior to 2.9.0. This release addresses the compatibility issues by fixing the following:

  • Add Harpy Volume patch for KQ5CD from ScummVM's auto-patcher. Since this patch modifies 0.scr, ScummVM can't hot-patch it.
  • Fix the "invalid species" error in ScummVM < 2.9.0 by including the class vocab file, 996.voc
  • Fix the "Memory fragmented" errors in DOS by making sure TextMod is unloaded after each room
  • Add a Downloading section to the readme so users find the releases page.
