@mechanical-dance mechanical-dance released this 04 Nov 20:56

First public release of RMX-0, custom firmware for the Erica Synths LXR Eurorack drum module, built on Erica Synths' firmware v1.51.

RMX-0 is unofficial. It is not developed in collaboration with, nor endorsed or supported by Erica Synths.

Adds:

  • MIDI input on the OP HH jack
  • voice linking (unison, chord, poly)
  • per-drum glide and MIDI legato
  • global stereo reverb
  • user samples with start and end trims
  • eleven new LFO shapes
  • pan that follows sounding notes (modified from stock: the lfo used to only affect panning when the note was triggered)
  • click-free retriggers (modified from stock: added small 5ms fades to samples and envelopes)
  • a restart menu for iterating while hot-swapping the SD card

Install: copy LXRE_RMX0_V1.0.img to the top folder of the SD card (remove other LXRE*.img files), hold the encoder while powering on, and wait for "Update OK!". Updating erases installed samples; reinstall them afterwards. Kits from the stock firmware load unchanged.

Huge shout out to Julian Schmidt (Sonic Potions), Erica Synths, and Brendan Clarke (LXR02Open) for creating and contributing to this incredible instrument.
