COPTR

30 out of 68 entries has been checked, some new tools have been found. Everyone's invited to continue to go through this list now transferred to our trello board and check if an entry already exists, either just adding the METS category, or creating a new entry if it makes sense.

Website updates

The METS Board page is updated, the rest will follow.

METS overview revisions

The METS overview in the various languages done as part of https://github.com/mets/METS-board/issues/31 will be put online by the current overall update. Translations not updated now will be marked following previous version. Aaron take a look at it.

F2F

We recommend to do 3 meetings of 2 hours in 3 following weeks. Suggested start time is the usual start time. A suggestion is to use one of the ordinary meetings either the 24th September meeting or the 5th November meeting and then the Thursdays the week before and after. This splitting is to make it possible to read up and think between the meetings. A Doodle can be created by Karin to decide which dates to use. Karin can host the meetings.

Agenda items

  • xlink
  • A next versions goals and stakeholders
  • An bigger overhaul of the webpage and figuring out what belongs in the wiki and what is on the page.
  • METS Tutorial on-line? Discuss if/when/how.

Extra

Nate asked Karin to aid in contact with The Digital Restoration Initiative at the University of Kentucky, DRI . A Zoom call was made and they are creating a METS Profile and wanted some input. They will be using BehaviorSec for storing their commands in building the 3D models. They wondered about tools for creating METS-documents (informed about COPTR) and wanted general feedback on their thoughts since they couldn't find a similar existing profile. FileGrps for each category of scan for the 3D object. The profile will be submitted.
