IVE 1.0.18 — Terminal tabs
Download
Mac (Apple silicon, macOS 13.5 or newer): download IVE-macOS-arm64.dmg, open it and drag IVE into Applications. The app is signed with AIFOREU GmbH's Developer ID and notarized by Apple. To update, quit IVE and replace the app in Applications. Your existing workspaces, sessions and settings remain in your application data folder.
Linux, Intel Macs and source installations: use the installation instructions.
Agent sessions use your installed, signed-in coding CLI: Claude Code, Codex or Gemini (Antigravity CLI).
What's new in 1.0.18
- Open a plain Terminal directly, or choose an agent Session. The old Quick Session entry becomes the terminal entry.
- ⌘T opens a new internal IVE tab in the Mac app. In a Mac browser, use Ctrl+T; the + button also works. Terminals remain alive while you switch tabs.
- Terminal tabs keep their workspace and input state; starting, closing and retrying a failed terminal are handled within the tab.
- Updated the bundled phone-connection helper to cloudflared 2026.10.4, built with Go 1.27.3.
The Mac app was built from public source commit 184326a6e61e7682dfe4241730c77888ce51c7b3. Its embedded source fingerprint is a31d6219e05b1c1298e8b3eb852b223b56ebc1a86ee97f047c9cc8cc481bdbfb.
Verification: 30 terminal-tab browser checks, 6 packaged-backend checks and 9 native lifecycle checks passed. The optional privileged phone-availability service was excluded from the native lifecycle run because the builder's existing root service was unresponsive; physical phone/closed-lid operation is not covered by these checks. All 22 code signatures, the app's stapled Apple ticket and Gatekeeper acceptance were checked before packaging. The disk image contains that notarized app; the SHA-256 of the disk image is in IVE-macOS-arm64.dmg.sha256.
IVE 1.0.17
Download
Mac (Apple silicon, macOS 13.5 or newer): download IVE-macOS-arm64.dmg below, open it and drag IVE into Applications. The app is signed with the Developer ID of AIFOREU GmbH and notarized by Apple. It runs its own local service in the background: no terminal window, no browser tab.
Linux, Intel Macs and developers: install from source.
curl -fsSL https://ive.dev/install.sh | bash
iveYou need at least one coding CLI you already use and are logged in to: Claude Code, Codex or Gemini CLI.
What's new in 1.0.17
- Your shell files stay yours. IVE no longer adds a block to
~/.zshrcand~/.bashrcon first start. That only happens if you turn on the optional package scanner (AVCP), and turning it off removes the block again. A block an earlier version wrote is removed on the next start. Wrappers no longer break shells with aliases likepip=pip3or with nvm's lazynpm. - Deleting the app no longer blocks Claude Code. If IVE.app was moved or deleted without removing its hooks, they now step aside with a short note instead of blocking every tool call in Claude Code, Codex and Gemini CLI.
iveruns in the background and gives the terminal back:ive stop, ive status, ive logs, ive run. It refuses a busy port, only reports success once its own server answers, and also finds an IVE started withive run.ive updatedownloads first and only then restarts a running IVE.- Clean uninstall.
ive uninstall(source) and"/Applications/IVE.app/Contents/Resources/backend/ive-backend" --remove-hooks(app; quit IVE first) remove IVE's hooks and shell block and keep your own. - The log no longer prints the access token or a share link while IVE only listens on localhost.
- The Mac app speaks English throughout.
- Telemetry is off by default (
IVE_TELEMETRY=onto help). Licensed under Apache 2.0.
Checksum (SHA-256) of the DMG is in IVE-macOS-arm64.dmg.sha256.
