Helix v1.0.5 — Snow Leopard ❄️
- Choose which groups or columns each analysis compares: the assistant asks first
- Significance stars on a graph follow the groups the test compared
- Results open with the exact test that ran and whether it is significant
- Go through every assistant with the keyboard: ↑ ↓ to choose, Return to continue
- Start a linear regression straight from a scatter graph
- Type an axis's min, max or step and it applies at once; leave it blank for Auto
- New shortcuts: ⌥⌘T for a new table, ⌥⌘A for a new analysis, ⌥⌘G for a new graph
- Click a table in the sidebar to select it; its arrow shows or hides its analyses and graphs
- The Groups panel has − and + buttons, and asks before deleting values
- Volcano exports stay sharp at 600 DPI, and are true vectors in SVG
- Helix warns you before exporting an image too large to draw
- Clearer messages for an empty X column, a missing column or a test that can't run
- Paired and repeated-measures tests say how many rows they left out
- ROUT tells you how to exclude the outliers it finds
- Graph notes read R² = 0.98 and P = 0.002
- Older or damaged project files are repaired as they open; save to keep them up to date
- The update check works on busy shared networks
- A new sample project: a preclinical study, from mice to patients (Help › Sample Project)
- Faster tables and sidebar: only what changes is redrawn
- R 4.6: exact Wilcoxon and Mann-Whitney P values, even with ties
- Help › Buy Me a Coffee, if you'd like to support Helix
- Fixed Friedman counting empty rows as missing data
- Fixed a deleted column's width coming back with a new column of the same name
- Fixed a project opening twice when opened twice at the same moment
- Fixed the selected option of some buttons (PNG, 300 DPI…) being hard to see in dark mode
- Fixed a failed save leaving a temporary file behind
- React 19.3, Plotly 4.1.2 and updated tools, with no known security issues
- And many more cleanups and optimizations under the hood
